Hello First Grade Families,
This year our theme is “Hello Sunshine!” Together your student and I will discover their passions, interests, and their superpowers. I want to see each of my students “SHINE” and become confident readers, mathematicians, authors, and smart first graders!! Together we will create a strong classroom community where they feel safe and also challenge them and expand their thinking. We will work hard while still having fun! It is a special and unique opportunity to teach 6 and 7-year-olds. I am excited for you to see how much growth they will make this year! Thank you for letting me be a part of their BRIGHT journey as a Wildcat.

Children Learn Best When...
· Their learning is hands-on and meaningful.
. The child's emotional, social, and academic needs are met.
· Students are provided the necessary time, practice, challenge, reflection, and choice in their learning.
· The teacher-parent relationship is open to sharing ideas and expertise.
· Students are given the opportunity to reflect and share their learning with others.
· They are provided with feedback and positive encouragement!
