Hi! ✏️
I’m Kyra Fitzsimmons, and I’m so excited to be part of the 2nd grade team at MVE! This is my sixth year teaching, and I absolutely love being a teacher. I actually graduated with a degree in psychology first, but after spending a day in a classroom, I knew teaching was where I was supposed to be. I went back to school for my teaching degree, earned my Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction, and have been in 2nd grade ever since. I can’t imagine doing anything else!

I grew up on a ranch, so I’ve always loved being outdoors, staying active, and enjoying everything Colorado has to offer. My husband, Justin, and I have been married for 17 years, and we have two awesome kids. George is 13, and loves football and basketball. Isla is 11, loves basketball and playing with her friends. We have two silly Beabulls, Pancho and Pippen. Pippen is always grumpy, haha! 

We love spending time outside together and cheering our kids on in all their activities. I can’t wait for a fun year full of learning, growth, and lots of memories together! 🍎
