About Me
I currently live in Denver, CO but was born and raised in Boulder, CO. It was there that I discovered my passions for running, reading and anything chocolate (yes, I do in fact consider my love for chocolate a passion!). I graduated from CU Boulder with a degree in Psychology and then went on to get my masters degree in Elementary Education K-6 from MSU Denver. Besides my previously listed passions, I also have a passion for rescuing dogs and cats. I currently have two rescue dogs and one old and rotund rescue cat. I have also been a hospice foster parent for senior and special needs cats in the past. I have two big loves in my life. One is my family, especially my chubby cheeked two year old niece and my adorable five year old nephew. The other is teaching and getting to be a part of the life of your wonderful kids. Pictured is my wonderful rescue dog, Charlotte (top picture), and my other sweet rescue pup Layla (bottom picture).Â
Another passion that I have is traveling. I studied abroad when I was getting my undergrad at CU and lived in Barcelona, Spain for almost five months. This experience unlocked a love for Europe and traveling. This summer I went to England, France and Scotland and uncovered my immense love to the UK. One of my dreams is to be able to travel to the UK once a year - the moment I stepped foot off of the plane it felt like a second home.
