Hey there! I'm Annaka Douglas-Mason (or Ms. Douglas), and I just graduated from the University of Northern Colorado this past May. I previously worked closely with 5th graders, so I'm super excited to see how 6th grade goes and what new adventures we'll have together!

I actually grew up right here in this school district and graduated from Mountain Vista, so being back feels like coming home. It's pretty cool getting to work in the same place that helped shape me growing up and being able to give back to the community that means so much to me!

When I'm not at school, I love spending time with my family, especially when there's good food involved! I also enjoy playing cozy games on my computer when I want to unwind, and sometimes you'll find me relaxing with my cat Clarence. Whether it's trying a new recipe at home or checking out a local restaurant, I'm always up for a good meal!

My fiancé Riad and I love trying out new restaurants together, and we enjoy the occasional hike (usually to places he wants to explore since he's more into hiking than I am!). There's something fun about seeing familiar places through someone else's eyes!

I can't wait to get to know all of you and see what this school year brings!
