My name is Erika Brattstrom and I am so excited to welcome you to the 2025-26 school year!

I grew up in Mount Olive, New Jersey and love to go back to visit and swim at the Jersey Shore! I moved to Burlington, Vermont to attend college and graduated from The University of Vermont with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Special Education. Go Cats! I also completed graduate school at The University of Florida in 2024. Go Gators! I started teaching in 2018 in Burlington before moving to Denver in 2019. This will be my 8th year of teaching and my 4th year at MHE! I live in Denver with my golden retriever, Scout. I love spending time with my dog, skiing, painting, playing the ukulele, learning new languages and playing board games.

I believe that learning is a lifelong experience and I can't wait to share my love for education with my class. I strive to make my classroom a safe space where everyone feels welcome. I know that each child is unique and I aim to help them feel special and important. It fills my heart with so much joy to watch my students grow. We are going to have such a fun year!
