What Second Grade Is All About!
In our classroom we are a team and a family that supports and cares for each other. In math we will be learning all about place value, geometry, time, money, and strengthening our addition and subtraction skills. In literacy we will continue growth in our reading and writing abilities. We are going to try our best as learners and have some fun along the way! Please explore the resources here to learn about how best to communicate with us and ways you can support your amazing child at home. Ms. Beaubien (Ms. B)
My name is Alex Beaubien and I was born and raised in Colorado. I live in the Littleton area with my fiance and two cats. Although I live in Littleton, I am familiar with the Sedalia area and have grown to love the community. I graduated from MSU Denver in the spring of 2023 with a degree in Elementary Education. I am currently pursuing a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction, with an expected graduation date of November 2027. This will be my fourth year teaching 2nd grade at Sedalia Elementary!

Me llamo Alex Beaubien; nací y crecí en Colorado. Vivo en la zona de Littleton con mi prometido y dos gatos. Aunque resido en Littleton, conozco bien el área de Sedalia y he llegado a apreciar mucho a su comunidad. Me gradué de MSU Denver en la primavera de 2023 con un título en Educación Primaria. Welcome to 2nd grade! My name is Averee Smith. This is my first year teaching at Sedalia Elementary. I live with my boyfriend in Greenwood Village and even though I’m new to the area, I am really loving exploring Sedalia so far. I went to Colorado State University for both my Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Elementary Education. Outside of school, I enjoy paddle boarding, crochet (and other crafts), and spending time with my friends and family. I am so excited for this year and I can’t wait for it to start!

¡Bienvenidos a segundo grado! Me llamo Averee Smith. Este es mi primer año enseñando en la Escuela Primaria Sedalia. Vivo con mi novio en Greenwood Village y, aunque soy nueva en la zona, me está encantando explorar Sedalia hasta ahora.
