Hello! 

I am so excited to partner with you and your students as your English language development specialist. (ELD).  I get the awesome opportunity to work with students who are learning English at South Ridge Elementary. Our primary language at South is English, however we have many students (about 25%) with languages of influence other than English, making them multilingual learners. 

My role as an ELD specialist is to support students in out of the classrooms, collaborate and communicate with teachers to create welcoming and culturally inclusive environments, along with advocating for families who may be new to the country and new to Douglas County schools. 

Relationships are important and at the center of all that I do. My hope is that your student(s) feel safe, secure and have a strong desire to learn not only English, but about the world around them.   Communication is also central to what I do so please email or use Talking Points to get in touch with me.
