Hello and welcome! This is my ninth year teaching, and I’m so excited to be returning to second grade. Over the years, I’ve taught Kindergarten, first grade, and second grade—each experience has helped shape my passion for helping young learners grow. I’m originally from Highlands Ranch, Colorado, and earned my degree in Anthropology with a minor in Fine Arts from Oklahoma Baptist University. Though I’ve always loved history and art, I discovered my true calling in teaching. During my husband’s nine years in the Marine Corps, we had the incredible opportunity to live in California, North Carolina, Virginia, and even overseas in Okinawa, Japan. While there, I went back to school and earned my Master’s in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University. When I’m not teaching, I love spending time with my husband, our son, and our dog (named Chili)—especially when we’re outdoors on a new adventure. I also enjoy gardening, baking, and curling up with a good book. I’m excited for a wonderful school year full of learning, growth, and new adventures!
