Welcome to Sixth Grade!

My name is Jennifer Edmondson, and this is my nineteenth year at Eagle Ridge. I taught fifth grade for 7 years, and have taught sixth grade for the last 10. In my 29 years of teaching, I have taught every grade, kindergarten through sixth, but 5th and 6th grade have been my absolute favorites. This year I will teach writing and health.

I love working with 6th graders! Along with the academics, I enjoy helping kids learn about themselves and the importance of the connection between choices and consequences/ outcomes, whether academic or personal. Along with my teaching license, my B.A. in Psychology and M.S.C in Counseling provide the background for me to best help the students in these areas.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my 24 year old twins, Megan and Brendan, my husband, Paul, and my dogs, Lucky and Buddy. My kids graduated from Highlands Ranch High School, and CU Boulder. Paul is also a teacher in Douglas County and teaches 4th grade. Some of my favorite things to do are read, travel, and relax on the beach. My favorite place to be is on the beach with my family!

I really enjoy teaching and working with the students and families here at Eagle Ridge, and I look forward to a great year! :)
