Hello, and welcome to fourth grade! My name is Bonnie Campos. I opened MHE in 2007 and taught fourth grade here for eight years. I left to pursue other opportunities in 2015, but I was so blessed to be able to come back to this incredible school and community a few years ago!
I received my BA from Florida Atlantic University and my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Colorado. This is my 28th year teaching, and I have taught preschool, Kindergarten, first, fourth, and fifth grades. I'm excited about all the awesome activities we will be working on together this year!
I grew up in south Florida, but I have called Colorado home since 1990. My husband and I have been married for 30 wonderful years, and we have two amazing daughters. Alexa was married in 2016 and lived in Florida until last summer! She and her husband Cole moved back to Colorado, and we are so happy they are close once again. They are expecting a baby boy in September, and we couldn't be more excited! Mallory and Michael were married in 2014 and live near us in Colorado. They had their first baby, little Maya, last July, so I am a new grandma ("Nonnie!"). Maya was born 7/7/18 and is our littlest angel.
I have many hobbies including traveling, running, scuba diving, hiking, reading, and playing piano. Mr. Campos and I have been trying to focus a lot of our time exploring our wonderful state. We enjoy visiting the gorgeous mountains (especially climbing the 14ers!), learning about the rich history of our state, viewing the incredible wildlife , and all of Colorado's outdoor beauty. I am very excited about our upcoming school year. I look forward to working with you and making this an incredibly memorable year!
