I have been the Social and Emotional Wellness (SEW) teacher at Heritage since 2019 and absolutely LOVE it! I retired from DCSD in 2018. I taught kindergarten for 22 years and 1st grade for 4 1/2 years. I love working with children and hope that you and your child will be inspired by my energy, caring attitude, and enthusiasm.
I am a Colorado native and the youngest of 8. I grew up in Capitol Hill and now live in Littleton for almost 40 years. (Gulp.) I enjoy long distance running and recently completely my 43rd half marathon! I may be slower now but I am determined to cross that finish line!
I’ve been married to my wonderful husband, Duane, for 35 years. He is also a Colorado native. We enjoy golfing, camping, fishing, hunting and our daily walks with our dog, Roo.
We are blessed with two amazing daughters. Our oldest, Deanna, is married and works at Lockheed Martin. She and her husband, Tom, met at Mines. (Go, Orediggers!) She has also been a mermaid at the Denver Aquarium for 12 years! Our youngest daughter, Makenna, is at CSU with a double major in psychology and philosophy. (Go, Rams!) She works with patience with brain injury at Learning Services in Lakewood and at Mad Greens in Ft. Collins. She is also an amazing flow hoop performer!
We love our fur babies! Roo is our German Wirehaired Pointer and our grand dogs are Tippet (Chocolate Lab) and Sage (Golden).
I am honored to work with the amazing kids at HE as their SEW teacher!
My hope is that all of our love and kindness has a ripple effect to others and make our world a better place. ❤️
