Remember it is very important that students come prepared to PE wearing appropriate clothing and shoes. Clothes that restrict movement and not wearing gym shoes will have a profound impact on your child's ability to perform at their best. Please help to remind your child when they have PE so they can come prepared and have FUN.
Please reach out should your child have any limitations that may impact their ability to perform in class (broken finger, hurt knee, not feeling well).

First semester we will be working on a variety of different skills, sports, activities. Locomotor movements (skipping, galloping, running, jumping, hopping, side stepping, etc); soccer skills - kicking, dribbling, passing; football skills - throwing, punting, accuracy; basketball skills - dribbling, shooting, passing, movements. Sprinkled in are games that incorporate a lot of the skills mentioned above along with working on teamwork, communication, strategy, cooperation and collaboration.
Second semester involves striking objects with implements. Floor Hockey, volleyball, badminton skills. Followed by a week long fitness unit, archery for grades 4-6 and climbing / agility work for k-3. We finish up the year games and field day.
