We had such a fun time with Sticky Fingers Cooking on Tuesday! The kids enjoyed learning how to cut up fruit, zest a lemon and determine just how sweet they wanted their cinnamon chips to be! Sticky Fingers has lots of recipes on their website that you can make at home. Please check it out!

Please remember that we close the calendar every Friday at 3:00PM for the next week. If you need care after it has been closed, please reach out to us.
Before and after school for the first half of the school year is now open to sign up. Please remember- if you have an incoming kindergartener, they cannot attend before or after school until they have their first FULL day of school.
We WILL have BASE on Monday, August 10, Tuesday, August 11 and Wednesday, August 12.
Monday 8\10 - we will be going to Kids Empire.
Tuesday 8\11- we will be going to Lazy Dog and AMC to see Minions Vs. Monsters.
Wednesday 8\12 - we will have a PJ/Drive in movie day. Please bring a box for this!
Thursday and Friday, August 13 and 14 we will be closed for cleaning, moving and unpacking at MPE. We will reopen on Monday, August 17 for morning and afternoon BASE for the start of our new school year at MPE!

We will also have off site paper waivers at drop off if you forgot or prefer that. We are really trying to cut back on paper, so if you can do the online one, that would be amazing! We have come to realize that it makes you mark all the field trips for the whole week before you can proceed. It is totally fine to select a field trip, even if you are not attending. We know who is coming each day, so checking all the field trips is totally fine!

MORE IMPORTANT REMINDERS
BASE hours are 7:00AM-5:30PM. When we say be here by a certain time, that just means either be there by that time so you don’t miss the bus and expectations if we have a field trip, or if we don’t have a field trip that time is when the activity for the day starts. You can always drop off before that time. And I always like to add when the day ends so everyone knows when all activities will be finished for the day!
We have had a few questions regarding dance charges. So what we do with this, whoever chooses to do dance will only get charged the $5 fee to cover the costs of Ms. Mickie, the dance teacher. We don’t want to charge everyone, because only about half the kids participate. So if you see a $5 dollar charge, that just means your child chose to participate in dance that day! If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask.

Just a heads up when you have to pack a lunch…some days the lunches have to stay on the bus, or we are out at the pools, so please be aware when packing things like Lunchables. I have seen the cheese melt in them. Throwing in an ice pack is always a good idea on these days.
At pick up, please encourage your child to help pick up their toys they are playing with before you leave. We have lots of kiddos get picked up and then tons of stuff are just left out. Thanks so much for helping with this!

To help keep everyone’s belongings safe, we kindly ask that toys and anything from home stay at home unless there is a special day where they are invited to be brought to BASE. If a toy\item from home does come to school, please remind your child that it should remain in their backpack during BASE time. We have plenty of fun activities and materials here for everyone to enjoy! Our goal is to make sure all students have a great time, and we would hate for any special items to be misplaced or accidentally damaged. Thank you so much for your support and understanding! This includes trading cards, stuffed animals, sports balls etc.
