Meet Mrs. Coe

I would like to introduce myself. My name is Megan Coe and I will be your student’s fourth grade teacher for the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year. I am so pleased to be in your child’s classroom and am so grateful to be a part of the Gold Rush Elementary team.

A little bit about me and my background: I attended Michigan State University (GO GREEN!) where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. After undergrad, I moved back to my home state of Colorado (I’m a multigenerational Colorado native!) where I pursued my teaching license through the University of Colorado, Denver. After falling in love with teaching, I went back to CU Denver and obtained my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in literacy.

I began my teaching career in Cherry Creek School District where I worked for three years as a fourth grade teacher at Summit Elementary, and then taught three years of third grade at Red Hawk Elementary. I have been a substitute teacher at Gold Rush for the past year and a half so it is likely that I have already met your student!

As I mentioned previously, I am a Colorado native who loves everything Colorado has to offer! I am a wife, a mother to an 8 and 9 year old at Gold Rush, and am a dog mom to a sweet pup named Barley.  In my free time I love to practice photography (I have even won a couple of small photography contests), read, bake, play tennis and pickleball.  I am also currently learning soccer and how to crochet. If I’m not doing any of those things, you can probably find me propagating my indoor plants or playing board games with my family.

Once again, I am so glad to be a part of the Gold Rush team, and I am so grateful to have your fourth grader as a student this year.
