I graduated from Texas State University (Eat 'Em Up CATS!) in San Marcos, Texas, with a BA in Business Administration, and acquired my teaching license soon after. I have over 16 years of experience in education, and just love teaching middle school math! In addition to being a math educator, I have a National Institute for STEM certification, have served as the coordinator for Academic University Interscholastic League, Superintendent's Advisory Committee, and the Grade Level Campus Team Leader on several campuses. I value the power of YET, a growth mindset, collaboration strategies, and positive praise to build understanding, and fully embrace IB methods to engage all learners.

I have always wanted to be a teacher! I come from a family of educators, nurses, and architects. I love baseball and volleyball, traveling with family, live music, and am always looking for ways to connect with and to challenge my students to strive for excellence. I am committed to helping students build their skills and confidence in math education, and guide them to be contributing members of society and lifelong learners.
