March Book Madness is a district-wide literacy event designed as an online bracket-style tournament that matches books in one-on-one games. Think basketball, but for books! The books will be decided by a simple vote on a Google Form. Students vote individually on the book they like best according to their grade level.
Every time a student votes for a book, their name will be entered in a drawing to win a prize! See prize information below. Teachers will also be awarded prizes based on student participation. See For Teachers tab above for more information.
Know that March Book Madness is for fun! There is no official way to join. It is about reading books, talking about books, and trying to decide how one book might be better than another.
After reading the books, students can vote for their favorites by clicking on the voting links located on the grade level tabs above. Students don't need to read all of the books to vote for their favorite!
All of the voting and brackets will be located on this website. Find your grade level on the tabs above to enter your vote. You will only be allowed to enter one vote per book.
Teachers or parents can fill out the voting forms for their students if necessary. If students have access to computers, they can fill out the forms individually. Or, share the links with your students so they can fill it out at home!
Enter your votes by these dates:
Winners will be announced in early April 2020!
Contact your school library staff if you need help finding a book! You can also check-out ebooks and audiobooks 24/7 on your mobile device:
Every time a student votes for a book, their name will be entered in a drawing to win a prize. One prize will be awarded per grade level. Winners will be announced after the final voting in mid-April!
