My name is Lucy McGraw, and I’m thrilled to serve as the Moderate Needs Interventionist for students at Mountain Peak. I’ve been a Special Education Teacher since 2008, with a meaningful break in between to stay home with my three wonderful children during their early years.

I began my teaching career in Northern Virginia after earning my Master’s degree in Special Education (K–12) from the University of Virginia. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with both elementary and middle school students, and I’m currently loving the opportunity to focus on our youngest learners.

Early intervention is a true passion of mine. It’s incredibly rewarding to witness the progress children make when given timely, targeted support—especially when school and home are working together as a team. I’m certified in Orton-Gillingham Wilson Reading System interventions, and  UFLI. I enjoy using these structured, research-based approaches to help students grow into confident, capable readers.

In my free time, I enjoy running through Colorado's beautiful scenery, spending quality time with my amazing family while exploring all that Colorado has to offer, and staying actively involved in our church community.
