Here is a picture of the orange homework folder and the black homework book.

Once a month you will receive a reading log from me.  Please keep this at home for the month. You need to read 15 minutes every night.  Please have your student color in one item with the correct date on it.  The log is due at the end of each month.  The Due date will be highlighted.

Every week you will receive a "Table Talk" paper in the orange folder.  This will be a checklist for your student to complete each night.  It also has a place for you to write any questions or concerns for me.  This paper comes back and forth to school EACH DAY in the "Return to School" side of the orange folder. There will be a spot for you to initial that your child completed the checklist and a place for me to initial that I received it at school. 

Each week you will receive a spelling sheet from me with the spelling words for the week, a dictation sentence to practice for the week, as well as some passages for your student to read to you (this can go towards your 15 minutes of reading each night). I will try to always have the Spelling sheet available electronically to you in the Perry Weekly Update. We will have a spelling test every friday on the spelling words and the dictation sentence sent home.
