Meet Ms. Beck

Hello! I am so excited to be your child’s teacher this year!  We are going to learn so much, and create many memories together. My goals for my students are to enjoy learning while reaching their highest potential. I know together, we can make 2nd grade a very successful and memorable year.      

      A little bit about me...I’m a Colorado native. My hometown is  Pueblo, Colorado. This is my 30th year of teaching and my 18th year at Heritage Elementary. I taught 5th grade for many years and this is my 8th year teaching 2nd grade. I have a bachelor’s degree in Social Science with an Emphasis in Elementary Education and a masters degree in Early Childhood Education. I earned both degrees from the University of Northern Colorado. 

 I  have three beautiful children who have grown up way too fast!  Joe graduated this summer from CSU Global with a degree in business management and is working for Charles Schwab. Anna will be a junior at Colorado Mesa where she will be working on a business degree and swimming for the Mavericks! Tommy will be freshman at Colorado Mesa working on his business degree, as well.  They are my everything and keep life fun and exciting! 

I enjoy exercising, yoga, reading, and spending time with my family and friends.  My passion, of course, is teaching young children and watching them grow academically and socially.
