Welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Jenn Florence and I am thrilled to be your child's teacher this year! I am looking forward to an exciting school year full of learning, laughter, and growth. I attended Colorado State University (Go Rams!) where I received my B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies. I continued my education at the University of Colorado Denver where I received my M.A. in Early Childhood Education with an endorsement in special education. I am in my seventh year of teaching and have spent time in Douglas County’s Early Childhood program as an early childhood special education teacher and as a kindergarten teacher for the last 4.

I am a Colorado native and have attended Douglas County Schools since kindergarten. I live in Parker with my husband and we will be celebrating our fifth year of marriage this September. When I am not teaching I love to be outside.  We enjoy going to the mountains and often spend weekends in the Winter Park area where we enjoy hiking, fishing, exploring lakes, and relaxing.

It’s going to be a fun year with lots of learning, friendships, and new adventures. I am excited to build relationships and create a place where your child will feel safe and comfortable taking risks and growing socially, emotionally, and academically. I can’t wait to become a little family!
