The Integrated Wellness class is focused on personal decision making in three main areas: physical health, mental health, and social health. These three areas make up what we call the "Health Triangle." For physical health, units of study include individual fitness and conditioning, collaborative game play, nutrition, illness and disease prevention, substance use prevention, and risk management / injury prevention. Mental and social health topics include building healthy relationships (both in person and online), development of effective communication skills, self-management (e.g. coping with stress) and executive functioning skills. Our goal is for all students to become personally responsible for their health and fitness through an active, healthy lifestyle that fosters a lifelong commitment to wellness.
