Meet the Teacher 

Allow me to introduce a little bit about myself. Art has been in my life ever since I could pick up something to write with. It's taught me to look at the world and my surroundings though a different set of eyes. It's gotten me through the rough times and has allowed me to share the beauty of creation with others. I have a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in painting and drawing but I enjoy creating with all forms of media. 

I'm originally from Wisconsin, moved to Wyoming, and am now living in Colorado.  I'm building a house with my husband and we're going on year 5 of the project.  It's been my husband and I doing most of the work with our 15 year old girls helping out on occasion as well.  We have horses, suri alpacas, dogs, cats, and chickens.  

Passing on my love and appreciation of art to my students is one of my passions.  I understand that art isn’t for all but there are other skills that go along with the creative process that I can instill in IHE youth.  Problem solving, time management, and perseverance are just a few.  I look forward to working with you and your students to help them learn and have fun in the art room.  

Lucky loves help me out teaching the kids.  So far he's helped me to teach movement and emphasis.  He's also going to help with balance and contrast this school year.
