Special Needs (Accessible) Seating Information:
Rows 1-4 at the Red Rocks Amphitheater are reserved seating for our disabled and/or elderly guests. The first row of seating was removed and renovated for handicap access. The first row is completely reserved for individuals who must remain seated in their OWN wheelchair throughout the ceremony. Rows 2-4 require climbing minimal stairs, however these guest may use our wheelchairs to get from the shuttle dropoff to these rows.
Red Rocks management requires us to distribute tickets for rows 1-4. HRHS allows each graduate to request UP TO 4 reserved Special Needs tickets. We recommend that a family member sit with the person(s) needing this accessible seating but this person must be included in the 4 tickets. If space is available, one of those four tickets may be used to sit in the 1st row with your wheelchair confined guest - RedRocks will provide a folding chair for this person.
General seating for additional family members/guests is located above the graduate and faculty section (approximately row 15). There is no limit to the number of guests seated in the General seating and no tickets are required for the General seating area.
Upon Arrival:
When arriving, please ask any of the parking staff to direct you to the Upper South parking lot or the Trading Post where you may access the handicapped shuttle. Do not drive to the top of Red Rocks, the shuttle does NOT pick up passengers there. Please see the map for more information.
Shuttle vans will take the guests with special needs tickets to the backstage entrance. Once guests are off the shuttle, will have our Wheelchair Brigade of Football Team members assist guests using our wheelchairs up the 30 foot ramp to the seating area. The shuttle service will begin at approximately 12:45 PM. Other family members must walk to the Amphitheater, enter and sit with all other guests in the rows behind the graduates and faculty.
