Spanish Honor Society

La Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica

Our goal as a society is to promote interest in Spanish and share together in passion for the language. You can catch a glimpse of some of the things we have done this year through photos included on this site. This year as a society we have participated in many events in and outside of school. We participated in Trick or Treat Street hosted by Interact and Music of the World and Taste of the World hosted by the World Language Department. We attended other honor society events with members of the German and French Societies. We hosted a Día de los Muertos event and learned about Spanish culture together. We attended society group dinners and had Spanish culture themed movie nights to get to know each other better and spend time with other people who love the Spanish language. We hosted fundraising events at Carlos Miguel’s and we were able to donate some of these funds to Sox Place and the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. Some of our members gave back by working with Habitat for Humanity, translating at hospitals, working at a church helping children learn English, and volunteering at the library and food pantry.
