Dear Second Graders and Families,

Welcome to second grade! My name is Heidi Stock, and I'm absolutely thrilled to be your child's teacher this year. Get ready for a year packed with fun, discovery, laughter, and building new friendships! I'm so excited to meet you all and am already busy preparing for an incredible school year. I'm eager to partner with you to set high expectations and create engaging learning opportunities that will truly help your child thrive. While saying goodbye to summer is tough, I genuinely can't wait to welcome you into our classroom and help make this your child's best school year yet!

Before we dive into some important beginning-of-the-year details, let me share a bit about myself. This marks my 15th year teaching at Heritage Elementary, and I deeply love this school, our students, and our wonderful community. Heritage isn't just where I work; it's been a part of my life for years. I've taught first, second, and third grade here, my youngest son, Cole, was a preschooler here, and I even did my student teaching at Heritage!

Beyond school, my husband Greg and I are celebrating 31 years of marriage this August. We've proudly raised our three children right here in Highlands Ranch. Our daughter, Madalyn, lives in Huntsville, Alabama, with her sweet dog, Gizmo. Our oldest son, Seth, is an Army Ranger with the 75th Ranger Regiment in Savannah, Georgia. And our youngest, Cole, is wrapping up his senior year at Colorado State University—Go Rams! When I'm not teaching, I love spending time with family, walking, gardening, cooking, and reading.

I'm truly looking forward to a wonderful year of learning and growth with your children, and I can't wait to meet you all soon!
