Mrs. Stock's Second Grade

Dear Second Graders and Families,

Welcome to second grade! My name is Heidi Stock, and I'm absolutely thrilled to be your child's teacher this year. Get ready for a year packed with fun, discovery, laughter, and building new friendships! I'm so excited to meet you all and am already busy preparing for an incredible school year. I'm eager to partner with you to set high expectations and create engaging learning opportunities that will truly help your child thrive. While saying goodbye to summer is tough, I genuinely can't wait to welcome you into our classroom and help make this your child's best school year yet!

Before we dive into some important beginning-of-the-year details, let me share a bit about myself. This marks my 16th year teaching in Douglas County, and I deeply love our wonderful community. Douglas County School District isn't just where I work; it's been a part of my life for years.  I'm looking forward to being on the opening staff at Mountain Peak and beginning my next adventure in the district.

Beyond school, my husband Greg and I are celebrating 32 years of marriage this August. We've proudly raised our three children right here in Highlands Ranch. Our daughter, Madalyn, lives in Huntsville, Alabama, with her sweet dog, Gizmo. Our oldest son, Seth, is an Army Ranger with the 75th Ranger Regiment in Savannah, Georgia.  Seth and his beautiful wife are expecting their first child in August! I am beyond excited to be a grandmother!  And our youngest, Cole, is wrapping up his senior year at Colorado State University—Go Rams! When I'm not teaching, I love spending time with family, walking, gardening, cooking, and reading.

I'm truly looking forward to a wonderful year of learning and growth with your children, and I can't wait to meet you all soon!
