Welcome to my Google Sites page. I am so glad you have visited and are eager to know more about our class and the person teaching it. My name is Tiffany Gordon, and the 25-26 school year will be my 15th year of teaching. Working with students and helping them succeed both inside and outside of school is my passion. I got my Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Sciences in 2011 with an emphasis in Psychology at Metropolitan State University. I also received my endorsement and certification in Elementary Education K-6 and Linguistically Diverse Education K-12. In 2018, I graduated with my Master's Degree in Special Education at Regis University. I have always considered myself a lifelong learner, with a passion for expanding my knowledge, and it is my hope that I help my students love education.
Seven years ago, I was nominated by my district and colleagues to be a WIDA Fellow. I was chosen as a national WIDA Fellow. This recognition was for my work as an ELD teacher. I was one of 12 people across the nation awarded this title. I was given the honor to continue this role for the 2020-2021 school year. While the title is very special, it represents the importance of the relationships I have formed and collaboration with so many wonderful students and colleagues throughout my career. I am proud to be a teacher. Click here to find out more about WIDA Fellows: https://wida.wisc.edu/memberships/consortium/fellows.
My students will quickly learn that I love Harry Potter. The Harry Potter series made me become an avid reader and showed me that our imagination is just the beginning of what is possible. I have an amazing family. I am a mama to my sweet furbaby, Oliver. He is a labradoodle and is full of energy and love. I also have another amazing dog named Terry that we rescued two years ago. He is a rascal and so much fun. Terry and Oliver play for hours every day. I have a passion (in no specific order) for education, rescuing animals, making a difference in the world, cooking, baking sourdough, reading, spending time with my family, crafting with my Cricut, building Lego kits, doing Autocross, and traveling.
I look forward to a great school year. -Ms. Gordon
