FSE believes that the best way for a child to spend their evenings after school is to explore, play with friends, and have quality family time. Research supports that experiences are equally important to child development. We want students and parents to view homework as something that gets them excited about what they are learning at school. Below are a few examples of "homework" your child may do at home.
Nightly reading for 30 minutes. The goal is to develop a LOVE of reading.
Word Study
Fact practice - Practice multiplication and division facts to automaticity through 12
Math homework - Students will benefit from extra practice at home by reviewing and completing the take-home math lesson
We love birthdays in 4th Grade. Due to allergies, time, and our school-wide Birthday Celebration Policy, we cannot have birthday treats in our classroom. Instead, you are welcome to bring a goodie bag for our classmates to take home! We will do a Birthday Go Noodle and celebrate your child's special day in the classroom!
