Classroom Communication
My goal is to use various forms of communication in order to create and maintain a connection between school and home. Below are some of the forms of communication to look for this school year:
Office Hours:
While we are in school, I will respond to emails within 24 hours. I will do my best to check emails before school (from 8:00-8:50am), during lunch time (12:15-12:55pm), and after school until 5:00 pm during the week.
Email:
I believe that it is important to form strong bonds with students and parents to inspire a shared commitment in quality education. The best way to reach me is through email: ccroissant@dcsdk12.org
Please see my office hours above to see when I am able to communicate via email.
Weekly emails will be sent on Fridays to share areas of focus for the upcoming week as well as reminders.
Google Classroom:
Google classroom is a tool I use for assigning and managing student work online.
Blue Mustang Folder:
A blue mustang folder will be sent home periodically with student work, forms, and/or notes. Please return the folder and any necessary work, forms, and/or notes to school the following day. It is important the folder comes to school daily so student work and other communication can safely make it home.
Progress Reports:
Progress report will be sent home to communicate student academic and behavioral growth.
Instagram:
Our classroom has our very own Instagram account. You can follow us using this handle: @misscroissantscrew
I share fun and exciting things we are learning. It is highly motivating for students when Parents who are Instagram users respond or simply “like” our posts.
Also follow the hashtags #oneflagstone and #funinfourthFSE
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I know that working together will help to ensure a successful and fun year.
