All information will be located on Google Classroom throughout this year!
I am looking forward to a fun and purposeful learning experience this school year. I plan on using google classroom as the best way to get information for any homework or if absent. This is more then a classroom, this is a classhome where everyone is welcomed and will be cared for.
There is a $40 fee for the class. Please visit myschoolbucks.com to pay.
Our class is very hands on and we are always in need of extra items to make learning more engaging! If you feel compelled please visit our class wish list here!
Mrs. Mottinger
Hi, my name is Melissa Mottinger and I am your FACS teacher here at Ranch View Middle school. I have been married for almost 20 years (in November) to my husband Ben. We have 3 amazing kids-a Freshman at Colorado Mesa University studying Exercise Science and playing lacrosse, a 12th grader at Thunderridge and a 9th grader at Thunderridge!
I started teaching in 1996 in a 3rd grade classroom in Fairfax, VA . Fast forward I’m now loving teaching at the middle school level 29 years later! This is my 5th year teaching FACS here at Ranch View.
I love to bake, cook and watch my kids do all their sports! I feel so lucky to teach here at Ranch View! Please always reach out to me with any questions! I look forward to working with you and your middle schooler!
ELECTRONIC DEVICES:
At RVMS, our goal is for every student to have a computer to use throughout the school day. We believe this level of access to technology is vital in preparing students for the world in which they live. A Bring Your Own Device Initiative encourages students to move from textbook readers to worldwide researchers, empowers students to take control of their personalized learning, and enables students to use their understanding of technology for the betterment of their education.
