Hello! My name is Michele Burnett and I’m excited to be starting my second year at Eagle Ridge this year as the Gifted Education Facilitator. I’m originally from Portland, Oregon, where I taught elementary school for several years before taking a few years off when my children were young. Our family moved to Colorado in 2011, and I spent ten years teaching 5th grade in Parker. I'm thrilled to be working with this population of students and their families at Eagle Ridge again this year. 

I am currently pursuing my Master's Degree in Gifted Education through the University of Northern Colorado. When I’m not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband and I have two sons in college - Ryan, who is attending school in Ohio, and Grant, who is attending school in Arizona. We also have two great kitties, Lucy and Lily. I love to read, cook, and travel, and we are a basketball loving family. (Go Trail Blazers!) Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions.
