Hello! My name is Madison Durett and this is my sixth year of teaching 4th grade! I attended PGE for elementary school, so it is great to be back on the other side as an educator! I have lived here in Parker, CO my entire life.
I attended Colorado State University and received an undergraduate degree in Human Development. Following that, I attended the University of Colorado at Denver where I obtained my Master's degree in Elementary Education.
I view my goal as an educator to challenge students to be their best selves. This consists of helping students develop confidence to take risks, inspire curiosity and questioning, and ensure students are choosing to be kind! One of the essential components to achieve this goal is to build a positive classroom community focused on supporting students as individuals. I also recognize all students learn differently and it is my job to develop learning opportunities that meet their educational needs, as well as to make learning relevant to their future endeavors.
When I am not teaching I love spending time with my family and friends. I have one older brother who is married and has 2 kids, whom I adore spending time with. I also enjoy solving jigsaw puzzles, cooking and baking, traveling, watching movies, reading, and playing board games. I recently got married to my husband, Brian!
