My name is Dustin Silverlake and I am a Special Education Teacher at Mt. Peak Elementary.  I am originally from Huntington Beach, California. I have one daughter, Alexandra.  She will be starting 4 grade at Mt. Peak Elementary.  I also have a son, Landon.  He is in Kindergarten at Mt. Peak Elementary.  Being a father has been challenging but also very rewarding. It helps me build on my skills as a teacher and pushes me to think outside the box when teaching.  I have been a teacher for 9 years.  5 years as a Significant Support Needs(SSN) Teacher.  Outside of teaching I like to spend time with my wife, Christa and our kids.  We enjoy traveling to the mountains and lakes around the state.  We also love Disneyland and Disney World.  We have started to make it a tradition to visit at least one of the Disney Parks each year.  I truly enjoy teaching and look forward to seeing the students grow.
