Activities for elementary:

  • After reading Charlie the Caterpillar by. Dom Deluis. Create a caterpillar by giving each student a circle to write down what makes a good friend, then put them all together
  • Create a friendship chain using construction paper in stripes : have students write what makes a good friend on each strip.
  • After reading My New Friend is so Fun, have students draw pictures of them doing different things with different friends
  • Healthy or Unhealthy Friendship Scoot Game: You can make up your own if you don’t want to purchase it off of TPT.
  • After reading the book Friendshape, have students make shapes of their own that represent good friends and an extension they could make creations of multiple shapes to represent friendships.
