Hi CRUN Family!
I am so thankful for another year here at CRUN! I have been a School Counselor for 19 years for Douglas County in both elementary and middle schools (mainly Parker area). I look forward to working with your students in many ways! Our team has grown and our Behavior Techs will be teaching Enrichment this year. That frees me up to run more small groups as well as individual skill building sessions. Please feel free to reach out to me to talk about your child's situation. Please remember school counselors are not therapists rather a support person to help teach/regulate students so they can be ready to learn in the classroom. The Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) is committed to ensuring that all students have what they need to learn, stay safe and make healthy choices through social and emotional learning. Through classroom lessons, small groups and 1:1 work with students, the School Counselor helps support SEL at Coyote Creek.

Through classroom lessons, small groups and 1:1 work with students, the School Counselor helps support SEL at Coyote Creek.
This support is largely proactive and preventive in nature, taking place in classroom lessons. The interventions provided for students in small groups or 1:1 will fall into one of these five core competencies as well.

School counseling is a service provided to all students through school-wide activities and classroom lessons.
