Q: What does the B.A.S.E. Program stand for?
A: Before and After School Enterprise.
Q. What does the Clear Sky Elementary B.A.S.E. Program offer?
A: We offer Before school, After School, Full Day (during In-Service Days and Fall/Spring Break), and Summer Programs.
Q: Who can attend the B.A.S.E. Program?
A: Any child who goes to Clear Sky Elementary that is a minimum of 5 years, 0 months and a maximum of 13 years, 0 months of age to attend may register for the program. Children who are four years old and eligible to enter kindergarten for the current school year may access the program no earlier than the first day of kindergarten class.
Q: How do I sign-up for B.A.S.E.
A: Please click on the BASE REGISTRATION tab on the left to fill out all the necessary paperwork. We have a formal registration for 2021-2022 that will take place in July.
Q: How do payment calendars work?
A: Payment calendars during the school year are due the Wednesday prior to the week you need service. You may turn in future weeks as well, but keep in mind that no changes to your calendar can be made once it is submitted unless approved by the BASE Program Manager.
Q: Is there a required number of days my child must attend?
A: There is NOT a minimum number of days to attend if they go to the Before, After, or Full/Summer Programs.
Q: I have 2 children who will attend B.A.S.E. Do I get a discount?
A: Yes there is a 10% sibling discount for the Full Day Bison Buddies Child Care Program.
Q: How do I pay for B.A.S.E.?
A: Payments are due the Wednesday before the week you need service. All payments are made online through School Care Works Parent- Portal. All major credit cards, including debit cards, and online checking accounts (ACH) are accepted. We prefer to avoid handling cash and paper checks.
Q: Are drop-ins available?
A: If you are currently enrolled in the CSE B.A.S.E. program drop-ins are available if space is available. Please check with the Program Manager to ensure space.
Q: Do you offer care when the school is closed?
A: We run a "Full-Day Program" on all but one In-Service Days, Fall Break, Spring Break, Winter Break, and in the Summer. Closures will be posted in the Parent Handbook (handed out when you register for the B.A.S.E. Program).
Q: What do you do during these Full-Day Programs?
A: We take numerous field trips which include swimming, movies, going out to eat, etc. The rest of the day we do crafts, go outside and play in the gym. We at Bison Buddies believe in Challenging the kids by choice so they are never bored when in our care.
Q: My child will need to take medication during the B.A.S.E. hours. How does that process work?
A: Medication can be given by a trained B.A.S.E. staff member ONLY if we have the Medication Release or Inhaler Permission forms located on our website under Waiver/Permission Slips Tab. Without these forms, we are unable to give or provide medication. The medication will be stored in the medication closet or office (not in the nurse's office). If your child needs medication during normal school hours, please contact the front office.
