Welcome to Choir at Cresthill Middle School

Remote Learning (updated 12/1/2020)

Dear Students and Parents/Guardians,

We continue to participate in remote learning while the community spread of Covid-19 remains high.

Students check in daily via their Google Classroom where we do approximately 30 minutes of synchronous learning followed by independent work time and individual practice on our repertoire using uploaded practice tracks.

Thank you for your patience as we navigate this difficult situation.

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year!!

(updated August 12, 2020)

As you all are aware, choir will look a bit different this year. We will have to temporarily change our focus from a performance-based class to a class rooted in musical concepts, world music, music theory, sight reading, and much more. These are all of the things every choir teacher dreams of having time to teach, but never has the time because there is always a concert to prepare for. We will also focus on building a strong choir community and work to strengthen our social-emotional health through music. I promise we will have a good time as we learn!

I am BEYOND excited to meet and greet my new and returning students!! I will probably cry when I see your faces - even if it is only half of your face! ;-)

I will have more information for you on your orientation day and also the first week of class. Enjoy your last few days of summer laziness and I will see you next week!!

Much Love,

Mrs. Arbuckle
