Meet Your Teacher

Welcome to the  2025/26 school year! I am so excited to be teaching 1st grade at Cougar Run.  I am looking forward to an exciting year of growing and learning with your child.  

A little bit about me:

    This is my 12th year at Cougar Run and my 29th year teaching.  I have taught all primary grades and have held the Professional Learning Specialist role, serving as a mentor, coach, and staff developer.  I am thrilled to be teaching first grade and am super excited to implement CRUN's learning vision.  I have a Master's degree from the University of Denver (Go Pioneers!).  My family and I have lived in Highlands Ranch for 18 years.  I have two daughters.  Maddie is 22 and Allie is 19.   As a family, we enjoy being outdoors.  Our favorite outdoor activities are hiking and skiing.  My family and I also really enjoy traveling.  We have been all over the country and to many countries in Europe.  I love exploring new places and learning about the people and their cultures.  As a family, we also enjoy watching the Broncos during the season.
