Meet Your Teacher

Hello and welcome to 6th grade! :) I am so excited to have you in my class this year and to get to know each and every one of you! We are going to have so much fun this year learning, laughing, and having fun! But for now, let me tell you a little bit about me!

This will be my second year teaching my own classroom but definitely not new to working in a school. I spent two years doing RTI (and wearing many other hats) here at Cougar Run and did my student teaching at an elementary school in DPS while getting my masters at University of Denver (go Pioneers!) 

Here are a few fun facts about me:

                ~ I grew up in Delaware and moved to Denver area in 2014

  ~ I have a very handsome fuzzy dog named Cooper

                ~ I love to play outside in the mountains 

~I have done a few ultramarathons and have filled my summer with various types of running and bike races

~Part of being an endurance athlete means that I LOVE food (specifically baked goods and pizza)

                ~ I went to University of Denver for both my bachelors and masters degrees 

                ~ Prior to teaching I wrote for 303 magazine doing breaking news and concert reviews 

                ~I am a big Philadelphia sports fan 

                ~ My favorite animal is my dog, Cooper.

                ~ My favorite color is green.

~My fiancee Hannah (pictured above) is from Highlands Ranch and went to elementary school down the street

                 ~ My favorite things to do when I am not teaching are:

                         In the summer I can be found riding bikes, trail running, climbing, playing with my dog or napping. During the winter I am usually skiing, cooking, doing game nights with friends, napping or playing with Cooper dog.
