Our vision is for every child to see math as a fun adventure full of puzzles and problems to solve and patterns to discover. We want students to build strong math skills, think creatively, and feel excited and confident as they explore numbers, shapes, and problems in everyday life. Math should make sense—and be a little magical too!
Nuestra visión es que cada niño vea las matemáticas como una divertida aventura llena de rompecabezas, problemas y patrones que descubrir. Queremos que los estudiantes desarrollen sólidas habilidades matemáticas, piensen creativamente y se sientan entusiasmados y seguros al explorar números, formas y problemas de la vida cotidiana. ¡Las matemáticas deben tener sentido y también ser un poco mágicas!

With fun stories, diverse characters, and plenty of time to explore, we’ll help kids build strong reading skills—and discover that reading isn’t just something you learn, it’s something you love.
Imaginamos un mundo donde cada niño vea la lectura como una aventura. Nuestra visión es que todos los estudiantes de primaria se conviertan en lectores seguros y curiosos que se sumerjan en los libros con entusiasmo. Con historias divertidas, personajes diversos y mucho tiempo para explorar, ayudaremos a los niños a desarrollar sólidas habilidades lectoras y a descubrir que leer no es solo algo que se aprende, sino algo que se ama.

Joelle Brummett
I am so excited to be a part of the Sedalia Elementary team this year and have the opportunity to teach your student. I am a native to Colorado but have lived in various parts of the country, including Arizona, Oklahoma, California, Montana and Pennsylvania. I earned my bachelor's degree in Journalism at Oklahoma State University ("Go Pokes!"), and my master's degree in Divinity at Fuller Theological Seminary. I have 25 years experience working as a Christian educator and minister to children, youth and young adults in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). I started teaching in the public education world 4 years ago in Douglas County.
I am married to a personal chef, and orchestra teacher (Tom, also known as "Mr. B" to my students. I am the mother to 3 beautiful children: Charlie, 26, Willow, 19, and Josh, who has passed on. Being a mom to 2 typical children and 1 with significant special needs has been one of the greatest joys and challenges in my life. I know this wonderful and sometimes difficult road you walk as a parent/guardian to these precious humans.
It is my hope to provide the best classroom environment I can for your child to learn and feel a sense of worth and belonging. I am a huge advocate for children and their voices. I believe they each have important things to tell us and teach us. I am glad to help them succeed in doing exactly that.
Estoy muy emocionada de formar parte del grupo de la Escuela Primaria Sedalia este año y tener la oportunidad de enseñar a su estudiante. Soy originaria de Colorado, pero vivido en varias partes del país, incluyendo Arizona, Oklahoma, California, Montana y Pensilvania. Obtuve mi licenciatura en Periodismo en la Universidad Estatal de Oklahoma ("¡Vamos Pokes!") y mi maestría en Divinidad en el Seminario Teológico Fuller. Tengo 25 años de experiencia trabajando como educadora cristiana y ministrando a niños, jóvenes y adultos jóvenes en la Iglesia Presbiteriana (U.S.A.). Comencé a enseñar en el ámbito de la educación pública hace cuatro años en el condado de Douglas.
Estoy casada con un chef personal y profesor de orquesta (Tom, también conocido como "Mr. B" por mis alumnos). Soy madre de tres hermosos hijos: Charlie, de 26 años, Willow, de 19, y Josh, quien falleció. Ser madre de dos niños típicos y uno con necesidades especiales significativas ha sido una de las mayores alegrías y desafíos de mi vida. Conozco este maravilloso y a veces difícil camino que uno recorre como padre/guardián de estos preciosos seres humanos.
Espero brindar el mejor ambiente de clase posible para que su estudiante aprenda y se sienta valioso/a y de pertenencia. Soy un gran defensor/a de los estudiantes y de sus voces. Creo que cada uno de ellos tiene cosas importantes que decirnos y enseñarnos. Me complace ayudarlos a lograrlo.
Anna Raynes
Hello! My name is Anna Raynes, and I am so excited to be teaching 4th grade this year!
I was born in Kazakhstan, moved to Colorado, and have spent most of my life here. I also served on active duty in the U.S. Navy and am now in the Navy Reserves, reaching my 10-year milestone this year! While the Navy gave me the opportunity to travel the world, my heart has always been drawn to teaching and loving kids.
I recently graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my sweet pup, Winnie. I love photography, spending time with friends and family, and trying new foods.
I already love the culture and community here at Sedalia, and I know this year will be filled with growth, learning, and wonderful memories. I can’t wait to see what we accomplish together!

¡Hola! Me llamo Anna Raynes y estoy muy emocionada por dar clase a los alumnos de cuarto curso este año. Nací en Kazajistán, me mudé a Colorado y desde entonces lo considero mi hogar. Serví en la Marina de los Estados Unidos y actualmente presto servicio en la Reserva Naval; ¡este año cumplo 10 años en el servicio! Aunque la Marina me ha llevado por todo el mundo, mi verdadera pasión siempre ha sido enseñar y trabajar con niños.
Recientemente obtuve mi licenciatura en Educación Primaria en la Universidad del Norte de Colorado. Fuera del aula, me encanta pasar tiempo con mi adorable perrita, Winnie, explorar la fotografía, estar con amigos y familiares, y probar nuevos alimentos.
Ya me siento muy bienvenida por la increíble comunidad de Sedalia, y sé que este año estará lleno de crecimiento, aprendizaje y recuerdos duraderos. ¡Estoy deseando ver todo lo que lograremos juntos!
Anna Dupree
Hello, my name is Anna Dupree and I co-teach with fourth, fifth, and sixth grade classrooms. This is my 30th year teaching and my third year at Sedalia Elementary. Outside of school, I love all things outdoors-biking, hiking, and visiting new places. I love working with students at Sedalia.
Hola, me llamo Anna Dupree y soy co-profesora de cuarto, quinto y sexto grado. Este es mi tercer año como profesora en la Escuela Primaria Sedalia y mi 30.º año como tal. Fuera de la escuela, me encanta todo lo que se hace al aire libre: andar en bicicleta, hacer senderismo y visitar nuevos lugares. Me encanta trabajar con los estudiantes de Sedalia.
