Welcome to Speech and Language!

Dear Parents and Caregivers of Speech Students,

Welcome to a new school year at Bear Canyon Elementary School! I am thrilled to be your child's Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and support their communication development. My name is Michaella Pisciotta, and I am passionate about helping children build strong communication skills. I believe that every child deserves a voice to advocate for themselves and their needs in this world. 

A little bit about myself - This is my first year as an SLP (Yay! I am so excited!). I just graduated from University of Redlands located in Redlands, California. There I received my Masters of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders. I am happy to be back in Colorado and closer to my family, as I grew up in Pueblo. A few of my favorite things include spending time with my family, making others (and myself) feel valued and loved, plants, and sports/working out. I truly believe that every child has the potential to succeed and grow, and I am dedicated to helping your child reach their communication goals.
