Monday we will watch the video and make sure every one can logon and understands the website.

Day 1 is Tuesday) We will start our snowman at night drawing. Students will need the black construction paper I sent home before thanks giving break. And a pencil.

Day 2) We will be coloring our drawing. Students will need oil pastels (if it is not possible to use oi pastel some crayons will work and show up on black paper but some sadly will not). They will need a hand full of light colors.

Day 3) Birds eye view of a snowman. This projects student will need scissors, glue (white or stick), oil pastels (or crayons that will color on construction paper) and the 4 different sized square papers (one green or purple paper and 3 blue papers) I sent home before Thanksgiving break.

Day 4-6) 3-D Snowman. Today we start our 3-D snowman This is the day your student may need a little adult help. Students will need the loom (cylinder with popsicle sticks glued to it), and their first small bundle of yarn. I will also send home a picture of step by step circle loom knitting instructions as well as posting a back up video of how to do this for additional support. This can be a little challenging at first but all my students are able to do it in the end and feel a great sense of accomplishment when they are done. They will need help tying on their next yarn bundle when it gets low.

Day 7) Snowman hat. Students will need the printed cylinder template and black circle sent home in the kit, scissors and glue I would recommend white glue over stick.

Day 8) Snowman noes, eyes and buttons. Students will need one of the fallowing (salt dough, model magic or play dough that you don’t mind if they dry it out.

The rest of the week we will be doing step by step drawing practice. Students will need pencil, paper, and something to color with (water colors might be fun too).
