All Little About ME

A Little About ME:

Hi I'm Mrs. Amy Krysa!  This is my 10 th year teaching 2nd grade in Colorado.  I taught at Summit View for 17 years, in different roles,  but I am so excited to to begin this year at Mountain Peak Elementary! What a great opportunity to join two amazing communities.   

I am originally from a small town in Pennsylvania.  I graduated from Penn State and I taught for 6 years in Maryland and Virginia before calling Colorado our "home" in 2004.

My husband Tom and I have 3 boys and a new daughter-in-law - John (and Kenzie), Joe and Sam. I also have a crazy Boston Terrier named Spike.  

What to Expect in Our Classroom:

In our classroom, we will explore new ideas, ask thoughtful questions, and work collaboratively. I believe that all students learn best when they are actively involved, so our learning will include hands-on activities, discussions, and opportunities to think creatively. Mistakes are an important part of learning, and we will use them to grow and improve together.

I look forward to building a strong classroom community and supporting each student throughout the year. I am so excited for an incredible year in 2nd Grade!
