I am thrilled to welcome you to our 4th grade classroom at Legacy Point Elementary and share my love of learning with you. My mission statement is: Teach and Protect. Be prepared, be present, be purposeful. Make a difference!
As a teacher, I take great pride in getting to know each student and helping every one of them work to their full potential. The students are expected to be leaders in our classroom and I will take every opportunity to help them develop independence, responsibility, integrity, and ownership of their learning. Students engagement is critical; I will do everything in my power to help keep students enthused about learning. Beginning with the end in mind, I strive to help each learner be prepared for their next learning opportunity, as well. The Leader In Me, use of the planner, and living the 8 Habits are integral to our classroom culture.

Welcome to Fourth Grade at Legacy Point Elementary! I'm Emily Ferguson, and I'm so excited to be your child's teacher this year. This is my fourth year teaching fourth grade at Legacy Point, and I love creating a classroom where students feel welcomed, challenged, and excited to learn every day.
I'm a Colorado native and graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Apparel Design and Merchandising before continuing my education in Elementary Education to pursue my passion for teaching. I enjoy bringing creativity, hands-on learning, and meaningful experiences into everything we do in the classroom.
Outside of school, I enjoy golfing, traveling, crafting, running my small business, spending time with family and friends, and cheering on the Broncos and Avalanche. I can't wait to partner with you to make this a fun, successful, and memorable fourth-grade year!
