Welcome!

I grew up in Chelmsford, MA, the youngest of eight children. I attended Boston College on a volleyball scholarship and earned my Bachelors of Science in Mathematics. Upon graduating from BC, I worked in the high-tech industry as a software consultant and moved across the country during that time. I was planning to move back east to be closer to my family, but I was set up on a blind date with my husband, Jim, and less than a year later, we were married. We have two boys, James and Kyle. James attends the University of Wyoming and Kyle attends Douglas High School. We also have a Samoyed named Shasta.

I taught high school mathematics for 12 years before taking two years off to receive a kidney transplant and subsequently recover. We moved to Woodfords in 2016, so we could be closer to Jim's dad and we LOVE living here!

When I am not in my classroom, you can find me on a trail hiking or walking my dog, in a gym coaching or working out, at home building a puzzle, playing games, or reading.
