About Me
Hello — I’m happily married and part of an amazing blended family. My son is an autistic preteen, and that’s where my story began. We live on a small farm with our chickens, and I’m an avid ocean lover who enjoys traveling with my family.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Special Education and a master’s in Educational Technology. I’m passionate about inclusion, autism acceptance, and using neurodiversity‑affirming language in the classroom and school communities. With 8 years of classroom experience, I believe strongly in student‑led teaching, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and practices that center on family partnership and student success.
For more than 15 years, I’ve taught yoga and mindfulness, and I use those tools to support regulation and wellbeing for students and staff. I serve on our SEAC as the rural parent representative and am an NV LEND graduate. My professional values include a growth mindset, collaboration, and fostering student autonomy.
My why: to bridge the gap between home and school to support the whole child’s wellbeing — to approach every child with good intentions, avoid assumptions, and meet them where they are so they have a chance to exceed. I believe everyone can succeed.
