Websites with Images Explicitly Shared by their Creators

Flickr - Explore images offered to the public under Creative Commons license.
Pixabay - "Over 1.6 million royalty free stock photos and videos shared by our generous community."
Wikimedia Commons - Access to more images with Creative Commons licenses.
Pexels - Free stock photos shared by photographers; many of them don't even require attribution.
ImageBase - "Thousands of free images for commercial, personal, or educational use."
Photos for Class - All images are licensed by Creative Commons for public use, and taken directly from Flickr and Pixabay. Downloading provides you with the attribution/credit directly on image.
Google Images ADVANCED IMAGE SEARCH - If you're searching for images through Google, make sure to scroll all the way to the bottom of the Advanced Image Search settings and set the Usage Rights to "free to use or share..."

NEED TO GIVE CREDIT TO AN IMAGE ON YOUR WORKS CITED PAGE?

An Image (Including a Painting, Sculpture, or Photograph)*

Provide the artist's name, the work of art italicized, the date of creation, the institution and city where the work is housed. Follow this initial entry with the name of the Website in italics, and the date of access.

If the work is cited on the web only, then provide the name of the artist, the title of the work, and then follow the citation format for a website. If the work is posted via a username, use that username for the author.
