College Rep Visits are when an Admissions Counselor from a college comes to visit Dinwiddie to inform students about their College. 

Why is it important to attend: These counselors who visit are often the same ones reading student's applications! Sometimes they give out fee waivers during meetings or give tips on the admissions process.

Workforce & Career: We are working to invite industry professionals as guest speakers to talk about how they got into their Career.

The College & Career Team hosts field trips to colleges in an effort to 

• Bring awareness to affordable education

• Provide transportation to students who may not have access to touring

Requirements for Field trips going forward

• Seniors must have 50% of the application to the school completed

• Starting in the spring Juniors must have 50% of their Common App completed

• There may be GPA requirements to attend but exception are accepted

Career/Workforce: More workforce focused trips/opportunities are often held by the CTE Department and those will not be listed on this form at this time but may be listed under "College & Career Opportunities" instead.
