Zoom Integration

Table of Contents

Introduction

Inviting an interpreter to join your Zoom meeting is very similar to inviting a regular participant. The only difference is that, instead of sending your Zoom invitation to a typical email address (for example, mike.smith@xyzcorp.com), you will send your Zoom invitation to a special system-generated email address (provided by your DCLS account manager) that will route your request to all available interpreters for your desired language and call type.

Important Notes:

1. Zoom Pro or higher is required to successfully integrate Zoom with the DCLS platform.

2. Contact your DCLS account manager to set up the Zoom integration feature before attempting to call an interpreter from Zoom.

3. Please inform your DCLS account manager of the language and call type (i.e., audio or video) combinations you plan to use with Zoom so that they can generate the appropriate routing email addresses for you.

Disable Waiting Room & Meeting Lock

Once connected to a Zoom session, you must first disable the Waiting Room feature and ensure that the option to lock the meeting is also disabled. Select Participants, then click the three dots (...) and ensure that both settings are correct.

View Participants

Select Participants.

Select Invite

Click the Invite button.

Copy Invitation

Select Email then choose your email service of choice to deliver the invitation.

If using an email service that is not listed, click Copy Invitation.

Important: Copying only the invitation link is not supported.

Send Email

Create a new email and paste the invitation in the body.

Important: Ensure that the One tap mobile section of the invitation is present. Without this, the interpreter will not be able to join the meeting.

Enter the email address (provided by your DCLS account manager) for the appropriate language and call type.

Important: do not use the email address listed on the right. You must use your own unique email address.

Send the email and an interpreter will join your Zoom session shortly!
