It is important for students to develop good strategies and routines to be successful.
Good Homework Routines help students:
Learn & retain the information better
Do well in school
Build self confidence
Increase organization skills
Work smarter, not harder
Decrease anxiety and stress.
Student has a quiet workspace
Student has necessary supplies (pencils/pens/colored pencils/books/papers/charged Chromebook)
Student has an order or plan to "check in" to each class
One example could be start with your hardest subject first
Another idea is to go IN ORDER of your classes (1st period, 2nd, 3rd...etc)
However you decide to check in to your classes - just make sure you check in to EVERY class, EVERY day
Go to your Google Classroom or teacher's website (and/or keep a written planner in class to record assignments)
Look over what you did in class
Compare it to any papers in your backpack and check that things are complete/ Finish any incomplete assignments from that day
Even 5 minutes per class would make a huge difference!
However you decide to set up your routine -STICK WITH IT!
Good habits can become successful routines with just a little bit of effort. Have a set time and place you do your school work.
